HOODOO MONEY is simply a fun, great read! Romance, the tradition and history of New Orleans and a lead character that's as spunky and spicy as Cajun food all combine to make Sharon Cupp Pennington's book a page turner.
This author put me right in the action making me forget I was reading. I highly recommend this author's work, and will stay tuned for anything else she writes. Take it from me, you won't just read this book, you'll experience it. A well thought out, and professional Novel.

I enjoyed this mystery, it was not a story line you see all the time. I think the ending set up for a sequel.
What an amazing debut, for author Sharon Pennington! How could this be a first novel?? HooDoo Money was like ice cream... I just couldn't put it down! Every time I looked up from my () I couldn't fathom why I wasn't in New Orleans, or Galveston. I could feel the heat, taste the mugginess. AND the mouthwatering descriptions of all those foods!! OMG! Could I get a kitchen, please?! I absolutely ate up the ending! ...And then it was gone. It took me all of one day to start and finish HooDoo.
Although this book was written by one my best-friends mother, I can honestly say the story is well-written and the plot is filled with twists and great dialogue..The title caught me off guard at first but, now I get it! I won't spoil it so you have to discover on your own. A must read story.
I just finished Hoodoo Money, and I can't wait to buy the 2nd book in the series. Very well written, great characters, fantastic plot. A wonderful thriller with romance woven through it, and I cannot wait to see what happens next! I'm a huge fan.
